KIMBERLY GRIMSLEY EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP
Congratulations 2025 Winners! Anastasia C. and Marilyn R.
This year we will be awarding 1 scholarship for every 5 submissions. All club members are eligible to apply.
Applications will be accepted from July 1 – August 1, 2026.
Late applications will not be considered, no exceptions.
The application must be written and completed by the skater—not a parent— in paragraph essay form.
Applications may be neatly handwritten, typed, or submitted by email to info@chesapeakefsc.org in PDF, Microsoft Word or Google Doc format.
THE ALEX CHILTON PERSEVERANCE AWARD
In Loving Memory of Coach Alexandra “Alex” Chilton
Alex’s favorite story to share with skaters who were struggling was that she herself took Basic 4 four times. She went on to become a USFS Gold Medalist in Skating Skills, completed 21 ice dance tests to earn two Gold level dances and her Pre-Silver Singles test. Alex became a beloved camp and group lesson coach at Ice World.
This monetary award will be given to a full member club skater who has shown perseverance on and off of the ice.

Skaters do not need to apply for this monetary award but we ask for nominations from someone other that the skater themselves or their parent. Must be a full club member. The winner will be awarded funds by the club using the following criteria for all ages:
Dedication to the sport
Dedication to practice
Helpful and kind to others
Punctual
Respectful of instructors and others
Honesty
Financial need considered
